A two sport athlete Karl James Noons is on his way to becoming the 1st person to become a World Champion in two sports, Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

Raised in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, KJ comes from a family history of fighting. His father Karl fought professionally in kickboxing and was a top contender in his era. His passion for fighting is why he put KJ into the sport of martial arts at such a young age.

KJ started in Kenpo Karate Martial Arts at the age of 5. At age 17, KJ won the ISKA Super Middleweight International Champion title. After winning the title and graduating from Clements High School in Houston, TX, KJ made a choice to follow his fight career instead of going to college and playing football in which he also excelled.

KJ started his professional MMA career in October of 2002 and in November of 2007 won the Elite XC Lightweight World Championship with a TKO (doctor stoppage) victory over Nick Diaz. Noons made his Strikeforce debut in Strikeforce on June 26th 2010 by defeating Conor Huen by Split Decision and followed it with a devastating knockout of Jorge Gurgel on Aug 21, 2010.
